G. Clarelli student cello outfits come with the cello, bow, soft case, and rosin, in sizes from 1/10 through full size. Our wide array of sizes lets even the youngest beginner start on the cello that fits them best. A properly fitted cello lets a student sit and play comfortably, which is what makes good technique possible in the first place. As your local string specialist, we carry the full range of sizes needed to ensure new cellists have the size that best fits them.

Cello sizing depends on more than height: it’s about how the student sits with the instrument, where the cello lines up with the sternum, getting the endpin length dialed in, and whether their hand span allows them to comfortably reach their notes in 1st position. We size students for free, walk-ins welcome.

Every cello is set up by our in-house luthier before it goes home with you and strung with D’Addario Helicore strings.
